The Seiko Prospex Speedtimer HBJ005 is a striking limited-edition chronograph created to celebrate Seiko’s 145th Anniversary. Limited to just 8,000 pieces worldwide, this exceptional timepiece combines Seiko’s rich motorsport heritage with a distinctive Edo Purple dial, inspired by the traditional aesthetics of Tokyo’s Edo period.

Drawing inspiration from Seiko’s iconic Speedtimer chronographs of the 1960s and 1970s, the HBJ005 features a distinctive two-tone aluminum tachymeter bezel that pays tribute to one of the most celebrated Speedtimer designs from Seiko’s vintage archives. The deep purple dial provides a sophisticated and contemporary interpretation of Seiko’s historic racing-inspired chronographs.

Powered by Seiko’s reliable Caliber V192 solar movement, the HBJ005 offers precise and convenient timekeeping powered by both natural and artificial light. The movement provides approximately six months of operation when fully charged and features a 1/5-second chronograph capable of measuring up to 60 minutes, a 24-hour hand, date display, and power reserve indicator.

The 41.4mm stainless steel case is paired with a curved sapphire crystal featuring anti-reflective coating on the inner surface for excellent clarity and durability. LumiBrite on the hands and numerals enhances visibility, while the stainless steel bracelet with a three-fold push-button clasp provides a secure and comfortable fit.

With 100-meter water resistance, a tachymeter scale, and a screw-down caseback engraved with “LIMITED EDITION,” the HBJ005 combines everyday versatility with the exclusivity of a commemorative Seiko release.
