Seiko 5 Sports HDB009 Field Series

The Seiko 5 Sports HDB009 brings the rugged character of a traditional field watch together with Seiko's proven automatic watchmaking. Part of the new 5 Sports Field Series, this model features a warm brown earth-tone dial, a practical rotating bezel with compass markings, and a durable nylon strap designed to complement both outdoor adventures and everyday style.

At the heart of the HDB009 is Seiko's Caliber 4R36 automatic movement, featuring both automatic winding and manual winding capability. The 24-jewel movement provides an approximate 41-hour power reserve, along with a convenient day/date display and stop-second function for more precise time setting.

The 41mm stainless steel case provides a balanced presence on the wrist, while its 48.5mm lug-to-lug measurement and 13.2mm thickness give the watch a substantial yet versatile field-watch profile. A curved Hardlex crystal protects the dial, while LumiBrite on the hands, indexes, and bezel enhances visibility in low-light conditions. The rugged nylon strap contributes to the authentic outdoor character of the design.

Designed for both outdoor leisure and everyday wear, the HDB009 offers 10-bar water resistance, magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m, and a lightweight 85-gram construction. Its screw-down, see-through caseback provides a view of the mechanical movement, while the rotating bezel and simple compass add practical functionality to its field-inspired design.
