Citizen Watches Promaster Tsuno Chrono Racer AV0104-06W LIMITED EDITION

In 1973, Citizen did something unexpected. It moved the crown and chronograph pushers of its racing chronographs to the top of the case, giving them a profile that looked like a bull’s head. The Japanese called it Tsuno, meaning “horn,” and a racing icon was born. The Citizen Promaster Tsuno Chrono Racer AV0104-06W revives that legendary design for a new generation as a limited edition of just 5,000 pieces worldwide.

Everything about this watch evokes 1970s motorsport. The two-tone 44.5mm stainless steel case, with a gold-tone bezel, frames a deep British racing green dial, the classic color of vintage race cars. Oversized chronograph pushers flank the crown at 12 o’clock, so you can start, stop, and reset with the same instinctive motion as a driver hitting a gear. A rich brown leather strap completes the retro gran turismo look.

Behind the style is serious engineering. Citizen’s proprietary Caliber E210 Eco-Drive is assembled by hand and powered by any light source, natural or artificial, so it never needs a battery. Its flyback chronograph measures to 1/5 of a second for up to 12 hours, letting you reset and restart timing in a single press. A power reserve indicator shows how much stored energy remains.

A sapphire crystal provides superior scratch resistance, and 200 meters of water resistance makes the Tsuno Chrono Racer far more capable than its vintage inspiration. Each watch arrives in a specially designed presentation box that is as distinctive as the watch itself.
